At our bed and breakfast, we believe that nature is the best therapy, and what better way to explore the beauty of Purcellville than to hit the trails? We've scoured the area to bring you the best hiking experiences, ranging from easy strolls to challenging treks.
For the best hiking near Purcellville, we highly recommend Bears Den Park Trail. As part of the Appalachian Trail, this 1.7-mile casual hike offers stunning overlook views of the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding mountains. Looking for something more challenging? Head to the nearby Raven Rocks trail, where you can trek 5.7 miles through the mountain valleys to reach breathtaking panoramic views of the Shenandoah Valley.
Driving a little further out, we would highly recommend visiting Shenandoah Valley National Park. Take the scenic drive along the park's Skyline Drive, which winds its way through the mountains for 105 miles, offering stunning views and plenty of photo opportunities. Or, hit the trails and hike to the park's many waterfalls and stunning overlooks. With over 500 miles of hiking trails, there's something for every level of hiker; we have curated our favorite three trails for our guests. Hawksbill Summit Trail (1.6 miles) leads to the highest peak in the park, offering stunning panoramic views. White Oak Canyon Trail (5.0 miles) is home to a series of stunning waterfalls. Last, but not least, Old Rag Mountain, is the most popular and challenging hike in the park, it takes hikers through rugged terrain, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Don't miss the chance to conquer these outdoor adventures during your stay with us.
